FAQ

What are the Kids Week dates?

The Kids Week deal is valid for selected performances between 1 August and 7 September 2016. It used to be just one week long (hence the name!) but has grown and grown in popularity and now runs for the whole of August.

Which shows are offering the Kids Week deal?

There are more than 30 fantastic shows participating this year. For a full list, take a look at our What’s On page.

How much are Kids Week tickets?

It really depends on the show, so be sure to check that when you book. All adults pay full price – you get a free kids' ticket with each adult, and you can book up to 2 extra children for half price. There are no booking, postage or transaction fees on Kids Week tickets.

How do I book?

The offer can only be booked via the Kids Week website (www.kidsweek.co.uk) or by phone. It is not available from theatre box offices, or any other agents. Once booking opens (10am on 14 June) all the 'More info' buttons on the show listings will become 'Book Tickets' buttons.

Do I need to register in advance?

No. The Kids Week deal is open to everyone, you do not need to register or sign up for anything.

I want to book an activity place for my child. How do I do this?

You must book the activity place as part of a Show & Activity Package – activity places cannot be booked separately. When booking opens, click on the ‘Activity Packages’ button and select your preferred activity. You will then be able to choose how many show tickets you would like, and then choose how many activity places you would like. All activity places are free of charge. Please do note the age stipulations on the activities before you book – if a child falls outside of the age limits we will not be able to accept them onto the activity.

Can I take a child under 5?

It depends on the show. Some theatres and shows have strict age policies and don't admit young children so please check the show's website for details before you book.

Can I take a baby to the theatre?

No. Babes in arms will not be admitted unless the show is especially for little ones such as The Tiger Who Came To Tea or The Gruffalo. Theatre can be overwhelming for little ones who might be afraid of the darkened auditorium and potentially loud sound levels coming from the stage. We recommend that you wait until your child is old enough to really understand and enjoy the experience of watching live entertainment on stage.

Why do some shows sell out so quickly?

Some shows are only able to offer us a limited allocation and are very popular with our bookers. The ticketing system is able to process many orders very quickly and so tickets can sell out very quickly. We recommend you have several date and show options in case your first choice is not available. Please also do check the Kids Week website throughout the promotion as many shows add more tickets as we get close to August – it pays to be persistent!

Can kids go free for all performances in August?

The Kids Week deal runs throughout the whole of August but there is a limited number of Kids Week tickets for each performance and tickets may not be on sale for all performances. We recommend you have several date and show options in case your first choice is not available.

How many tickets can I buy?

There is a maximum of 8 tickets per transaction, but you can make more than one transaction.

How much will I pay in fees?

Absolutely nothing. There are no booking, postage or transaction fees on Kids Week bookings.

Can I use Theatre Tokens to pay for Kids Week tickets?
